The Freedom First Credit Union operates two facilities in Squires Student Center. They also have two ATMs at Squires (1 inside and 1 outside) and one at Johnston Student Center for convenience. There are also Wachovia and Sun Trust ATMs in Squires. Johnston has other ATMs.

Complete banking services are available to students, faculty, and staff in the Freedom First Credit Union (formerly, "Credit Union of Virginia Tech"), located on the first floor of Squires. The Freedom First Credit Union specializes in student loans and provides all other banking services. Just want to make a deposit, withdrawal, or cash a check? Save time at the Freedom First Credit Union Express Service Center, also located on the first floor (across from the UUSA Ticket Office on the east side of the building).
