UUSA is only hiring federal work study students.
VT Student Electronic Application
This process is for Virginia Tech students applying to work in University Unions & Student Activities facilities:
All UUSA employment applicants must complete the electronic application process.
Virginia Tech Student Application Instructions
Step 1: Gather Information
Gather all documents needed to complete the application process before starting:
- complete education history
- references
- employment information
- any electronic documents you plan to attach to your application.
Create a UUSA Application Addendum and save it on your computer to attach to your electronic application. This lets us know your schedule, skills, and which jobs you prefer. It is required of all applicants.
Step 2: Create an Electronic Application
Go to www.jobs.vt.edu and select "create application" to complete your electronic application. You must also complete the UUSA Application Addendum and attach it with your application. Your application will be stored in a secure environment and will be accessible for current and future job openings.
Note: The more information you provide on your application, the easier it will be to effectively evaluate your skills, abilities and qualifications. Attaching a resume does not substitute for completing the application and addendum forms.
Step 3: Search Postings
Select "search postings" and search for UUSA (position name) for a specific position.
Step 4: Apply to the UUSA VT Student Employment Pool
Select "View" under the job title. Review the job description and select "Apply For This Posting" to apply. If you already had an application on file you will be asked to login before you can proceed. When you are prompted to make attachments, be sure to attach your completed UUSA Application Addendum.
Step 5: Managing Your Application
Use your user name and password to login to
- view the status of your application
- update applications
- or withdraw from consideration.
Once you submit an application you will receive a confirmation number. You will not be able to make further changes to your application for that position.
When you have your electronic application on file, repeat Steps 3 and 4 above to apply for a new position.
