Leadership Development Office
The Leadership Development Office of the Department of Student Activities strives to provide services that support and expand upon each student’s curricular contributions at Virginia Tech. We endeavor to create leadership education, training and development offerings that give students the opportunity to cultivate skills, build networks, and grow as global citizens. Student learning, through involvement, is our major focus.
The Leadership Development Office facilitates programs and services that seek to provide each participant opportunities to:
Develop one’s leadership potential through greater self-awareness.
Carefully analyze one’s responsibilities and commitments in the context of leadership for the common good and for purposeful change; thereby supporting the University Motto: “Ut Prosim: That I May Serve”
Learn how leaders and participants mutually shape the environment of student participation options.
And provide comprehensive, multifaceted, and cumulative leadership development opportunities and experiences for Virginia Tech students.
