Sport Club Officers/Captains
To work with and train sport club officers to be effective leaders of their respective clubs. This involves teaching students how to deal with both sport-related issues specific to their particular club and more general leadership development training on topics such as delegation, time management, conflict resolution, etc. Learning how to navigate the university bureaucracy to get things done for their club/team.

Intramural Sport Team Captains
Provides opportunity to bring together a group of individuals into a team and provide necessary leadership for group to become participant in Intramural Sports. Communication, time management, planning, and dealing with adversity are all-important skills learned as a captain.
Recreational Sports Advisory Board
The Department of Recreational Sports advisory board provides leadership opportunities to students who are active participants in recreational programs and/or facilities. Board members meet monthly and provide feedback to staff on programs, facilities, and new initiatives.
Recreational Sports Student Employee Committee (SEC)
Provides opportunity for student employee leaders to represent their peers and provide feedback on departmental programs, facilities and planning.
Recreational Sports Fitness Leadership Retreat
Provides opportunity for student leaders to learn about their own personality and work styles, learn about working with other members of the management team, goal setting for upcoming year for the fitness program.
Recreational Sports Facilities Student Employee Training
Provide skills and information necessary for employment as a front-line recreation facilities employee.
Recreational Sports Intramural Program Supervisor Staff Retreat
Build Cohesiveness – Trust Get to know each other – Family Bonding Learn program policy/procedure and nightly activity management.
Recreational Sports Aquatic and Instructional Leadership Retreat
Provides necessary leadership skills for managing aquatic and instructional programs and facilities. Builds necessary teamwork skills for effective management.
Recreational Sports Marketing Student Employee Training
Provide skills and information necessary for employment as a front-line marketing employee.
