Allison Dunn
Allison Dunn is the current Assistant Director of Student Activities for Co-Curricular Leadership Programs. She has been with Virginia Tech since July 2006. Allison oversees the Leadership Tech Year 1 Program (a co-curricular leadership program for first-year students), collaborates on the Blue Ridge Summit (an annual regional student leadership conference), coordinates both the Who’s Who and University Student Leadership Awards selection processes, and coordinates the campus Leadership Seminar Series. Before joining the Virginia Tech community, Allison spent six years working with various student leadership programs at Texas A&M University. Allison received her B.A. in Chemistry from Brigham Young University and her M.S. in Sociology from Texas A&M University. She has received several awards, including the “Outstanding Staff Award” while working at Texas A&M University in 2003 and the “Mission Excellence Award” while working at Lockheed Martin Space Mission Systems and Services in 1998. Born in New Mexico, Allison has lived in several states but calls Texas home. She is an avid college sports fan and spends her spare time enjoying cooking, traveling, music, movies and good books. |
