Trip Leaders
Venture Out trips rely on safe and competent
outdoor leaders.
The Trip Leader Training
Program offers formal training focused on
outdoor leadership and adventure skills.
Being a Venture Out leader is about helping
others discover and enjoy the great outdoors.
It is about working hard and meeting new
people. Most of all it is about having FUN!
If you are interested in developing new skills, meeting new people, and working outside, then Venture Out has a great student leadership opportunity for you. The success of Venture Out trips is directly related to its trip leading staff. In addition to gaining valuable hands-on leadership experience and outdoor adventure skills, Venture Out student leaders also benefit from discounted trips, discounted equipment rentals, discounted outdoor skills training, and leadership training. Venture Out currently offers multiple levels of training. First you may become a trip leader candidate. If you show motivation, work ethic and traits of an outdoor leader, you may be asked to become a leader in training. All Venture Out leaders and leaders in training must complete a series of clinics and training that are designed to teach them the necessary skills needed to become safe, educated, and competent leaders in the field.
