UUSA Hosts Student Job Fair April 28
BLACKSBURG, Va., April 21, 2009 – University
Unions & Student Activities will host
a job fair open to all Virginia Tech students
Tuesday, April 28, 2009, from 10 a.m. to
1 p.m. in the Williamsburg Room, second floor,
Squires Student Center. University
Unions & Student Activities offers a
variety of student employment opportunities
to compliment students’ academic pursuits,
afford resume-building experience, and provide
income. UUSA is committed to the development
and advancement of student employees through
leadership and career skills training. Students
interested in attending the job fair need
only bring their curiosity and questions. There
is no dress code
and no appointments are necessary.
James L. Gresham II, UUSA’s student employee training and development coordinator, says now is the time to seek employment for the summer and the 2009-2010 school year. “We have 77 graduating seniors of 279 total employees and we are very interested in filling some of the vacant positions,” he said. UUSA is the second largest on campus employer of VT students, behind Dining Services.
“UUSA hosts a variety of jobs for students in the Union, from setting up for major concerts with Production Services to helping plan events with Event Planning,” said Gresham. “We have something for a wide range of student interests, with competitive pay rates and flexible hours.”
