UUSA Production Technician I

The Production Technician is an entry-level student position within the Production Services Office. This position will support events in Squires Student Center, Burruss Auditorium, the Graduate Life Center, and other locations across the Virginia Tech Campus. As an entry-level position, the Technician is exposed to basic sound reinforcement principles and basic system operation (lighting and sound), and will work under the leadership of the Production Technician II and Technical Supervisors to learn the skills necessary for moving into the next-level position.
Required Qualifications: Must be currently enrolled as a Virginia Tech student and available to work a minimum of 8 hours per week; must be able to handle and move items weighing up to 75 pounds and perform various types of manual labor; ability to work with faculty, staff, students and customers from diverse backgrounds; ability to work independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
